The Mission of Yoon Lab

Our expertise lies in the generation and manipulation of various stem and progenitor cells, including induced pluripotent stem cells, multipotent bone marrow cells, and angio-vasculogenic cells. By harnessing the potential of these cells, we aim to create effective therapies for a range of cardiovascular conditions. Our primary focus is on differentiating these cells into specialized types, such as endothelial cells and cardiomyocytes, to repair and regenerate damaged heart and blood vessels.

Our research is particularly relevant in addressing peripheral vascular disease and its complications in diabetes, myocardial infarction, lymphedema, and diabetic neuropathy. By delving deep into the mechanistic aspects of these diseases, we strive to understand and enhance the therapeutic utility of our cellular and tissue engineering approaches.

At Yoon Lab, we are committed to advancing the frontiers of medicine through our dedicated research, innovative strategies, and the relentless pursuit of knowledge to improve patient outcomes in cardiovascular diseases. Join us in our journey towards a healthier, heartier future.
